Year Three and Four

This term the Year 3's have been designing a marble track that has a gap, a loop, a corner and is both steep and long for a technology challenge. The marble lands in the tin!

The Year 3's having been testing the strength of shapes needed to make a bridge. they are asking the question, "What is the strongest and most rigid shape to make a bridge out of?'

Year 3  Ell learners

They have also been asking questions, using bridge vocabulary to find out about a bridge of their choice.  Here is A.R's.

The Alam Bridge

The Alam bridge is made out of wood and iron.  It is between Gilgit and Baltistan in Pakistan.  It is a suspension bridge.  It is a scary bridge and is very high above the river.  It was built in 1978.  Buses are not allowed to go fast on this bridge.  They get told off if they go fast.  Once part of the Alam bridge collapsed and a truck was stuck in the middle.  The driver and his passenger had to jump off to save their lives. Dear Miss Hillier,
The waterside was so awesome because the bubbles were really slippery and so fast.
The people were going really fast on the waterslide.  When it was my turn I was scared.

Pinehill school
Hugh Green Drive
Browns Bay.

Dear Miss Hillier,
The waterslide was crazy because people went bumping into other people.  I saw people running and jumping onto the waterslide.  On the waterslide everything was fun but I had to be careful.  The water was yucky because it was soapy.

From R.
