This Term the Year 5 and 6 students have been writing narratives.  They have added more details to their writing by using adjectives to describe nouns, including adverbs to describe nouns and and verbs.  Listen to their Pirate stories.     We hope you enjoy them.

What are the features cockroaches have to survive in their habitat?

Their brain is in the body so if they get squashed they can still live.They can live for a week without a head and survive for a week without water.The cockroach can grow up to 4 centimetres long so they can live in little small spaces. Cockroaches run up to 5 kilometres an hour so they keep safe.

What are the features cockroaches have to survive in their habitat?

When we squash cockroaches they can survive for a week because their brain is in their body. Cockroaches have their exoskeleton on the outside to protect their brain.They can grow up to 4cm long so that they can squeeze though a space of a ten cent piece.  Cockroaches can run 5km an hour so it can run away from it’s enemies.
